MORE NILS

Root Sculpture - 1995

Aachen, Germany - 1997

Island of Cres, Yugoslavia - 1988

"On the Island of Cres off the coast of Yugoslavia, we camped overnight on the rocky ground. Very early the next morning (after an uncomfortable night sleeping on the rocks) I discovered drawn rock portions close to out campsite. I rubbed a section of the cliff with leaves from a nearby tree."

Wood - 1995

Entrance - Dietenbronn, Bayern - 1993

"On the day of the first autumn snow, I discovered the site and used a root stick to create an entrance into the earth. In the forest a fallen pine tree formed a space. The path leads through a Hazelnut leaf curtain."
